The HabEat kick off meeting was held in Dijon, in France, on 10th and 11th March 2010. The meeting was organised by INRA (Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique) and INRA Transfert and hosted by INRA . Financial support for the kick-off meeting was part of the support provided for the HabEat project by the European Commission.
Around 30 participants attended the two days of the meeting.
The meeting opened on 10 March by Sylvie Issanchou (INRA), the HabEat Coordinator, who gave an overview of the project. Then, the plenary session continued with the presentations of the workpackages 5 (Management issues) and 4 (Dissemination activity) as well as the presentation of the Stakeholder Advisory Board members, with the participation of Vitagora, Bonduelle Nutrition, Heinz, Danone, Nestlé and Lactalis.
In the afternoon of the first day and in the morning of the second day, different workshop sessions were organised and moderated by each workpackage leader (workpackages 1, 2 and 3). The objectives of these workshops were to present the contents of each workpackage, the tasks, the deliverables and milestones and to discuss their implementation. Finally, a session was organised to present and to finalise some decisions.
The first Executive Committee meeting with the participation of all the Executive Committee members was held on 10 March.
The main objectives of the kick off meeting were to launch officially the HabEat project, bring together all the partners and discuss the first steps of the project.
